what to expect | Relational Therapy in California

How We Tune In

Let’s go over a few things so you know what to expect.

We are here to be your collaborators.
Here’s how the process works.

  • We offer a free consultation call to see if we are good fit to work together. During the call, we ask questions about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to work on. We also love questions! Such as, “What does the first session look like?”, “How would you help me communicate better?”, etc.

  • First sessions, or intake sessions, are primarily information gathering. We will be wanting to know the context of your life - Where are you from? What was your family of origin like? Who are your supportive relationships now?

  • Therapy is about building a relationship between you and me that will help you better navigate your world. At Tune In, we focus on bringing what we do in therapy out into your day to day world.

Rates

Therapy is an investment in yourself. It is signaling to your inner most self “I matter, and I won’t settle for the way I have been living any longer.”

We believe it is much easier to change with a guide that has trudged a similar path.
By making the investment in your future, the returns will payoff in the present.

  • Yes, we can provide superbills for you to then submit to your insurance provider.

  • We meet with clients Monday - Friday, either in person or on telehealth. We ask our clients to commit to weekly sessions for a year minimum. Change needs momentum and has a rhythm. Meeting less than once a week extends the duration of therapy and stunts change.

  • Outcomes are best when meeting weekly. As much as we would love to work with you, it would be best to find a provider you can afford to see weekly as we do not want to create financial hardships for our clients.
